President Donald Trump who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on October 1 and shifted from the White House to the Walter Reed Medical Centre yesterday, has just addressed the nation via a video from the facility. Trump reassured Americans that he was on the road to recovery.

“I came here. Wasn’t feeling so well. I feel much better now,” said Trump sitting behind a desk at what appears to be a makeshift office for the POTUS at the medical facility. Trump expressed gratitude towards his medical team. He also expressed confidence at returning to the election campaign.

However, there were places where Trump appeared to ramble on in his characteristic unfathomable style. For instance, he referred to his medication as a “miracle” and how he was given the option to stay in the White House, not go to the Oval Office, and “just stay upstairs and enjoy it”, but he chose not to stay locked up. Then later in the video message, went on about his wife’s age, even joking about their age difference and how it placed her in a statistically better position than him in beating the virus.
